The Theory is the indoor performance climbing shoe designed for a perfect fit to the new shapes of holds and volumes in indoor climbing.
Its extreme sensitivity combined with high dynamism allows unprecedented spreading on footholds, making it particularly suited for use in the gym.
The Theory was born from La Sportiva's research & development department's study of gorillas' gripping abilities and the sensitivity of feline pads, combining the evolutionary analysis of new routes in gyms characterized by very large volumes and extremely dynamic movements.
It is designed to unleash maximum strength and agility while maintaining maximum sensitivity on all types of holds. New construction with exclusive D-Tech™ (Dynamic Technology) technology: the sole wraps around the shoe on the side for a total absence of lateral edges, promoting dynamic footwork and the spreading of the foot on the most advanced indoor hold shapes.
The Vibram® XS Grip2 compound sole with differentiated thicknesses at the toe promotes grip on footholds, while the low-volume heel allows maximum precision during heel hooks.
The rubber toe cap covers 90% of the front surface of the upper in order to promote hooking while maintaining adaptability to different foot types.
The overall structure of the shoe facilitates compression on the volumes of modern indoor routes and adherence on intersections and the most technical sections thanks to its great adaptability.
Finally, the upper closure strap with hook-and-loop fastening allows for excellent tension adjustment.
