Your waterproof clothing and equipment may be absorbing water because the Durable Water Repellency (DWR) has been compromised by dirt or because they have been washed with a regular detergent.

Your rain wear may be wetting out simply because it is dirty. First wash it with Nikwax Tech Wash® and if it is nearly new or has been recently re-waterproofed, the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) treatment will be revived by washing alone. However, when the garment has had significant use, you will need to re-waterproof it using Nikwax TX.Direct® after washing with Nikwax Tech Wash®.
