The two panels of the SolarBooster are made of monocrystalline solar cells. More expensive, but of higher quality, these solar panels are made from a single piece. Their efficiency per unit of surface area is therefore 24%, compared to only 17% for the Old Gen. This percentage is significantly higher than that of polycrystalline panels.
This monocrystalline panel also performs well in low sunlight conditions and at lower temperatures. This allows the SolarBooster panels to produce more energy than cheaper solar panels.
A light drizzle at a festival or camping weekend is no problem at all. The panel easily withstands 5 minutes of rain, regardless of direction.
The LCD screen allows you to easily read the current output of the SolarBooster. It also indicates the optimal angle for positioning it. When you rotate it, the number displayed on the screen increases or decreases depending on the amount of sunlight the panel receives.
