Smart 2.0, by Mammut, is an innovative belay device, designed to offer a high level of safety in sport climbing and indoor climbing.
Developed by Mammut, a recognized specialist in mountain equipment, it combines ease of use, lightweight design and braking assistance.
The Smart 2.0 works on an assisted locking principle: in the event of a fall, the rope locks automatically thanks to its optimized geometry, reducing the effort required to hold the climber. This system allows for safer belaying while maintaining smooth handling during clipping and lowering.
Its ergonomic design ensures a comfortable grip and precise rope control, whether you are a beginner belayer or an experienced climber.
Versatile and reliable, the Smart 2.0 is perfectly suited for outdoor sport climbing, indoor sessions and learning to belay with assistance.
With the Smart 2.0, Mammut offers a high-performance belay device, designed to improve safety and confidence during every climbing session.
Main features
- The Smart 2.0, lightweight (80 grams), is easy to use and has no moving parts or levers.
- Operating on the tube principle, the Smart 2.0 is therefore suitable for both lead climbing and top-rope climbing.
- In the event of a fall, the Smart 2.0 locks the climbing rope thanks to its new high-performance braking system that interacts with the belay carabiner. This provides the belayer with optimal control and significantly improved safety.
- Mammut recommends the use of the Smart HMS for the Smart 2.0. It is suitable for rope diameters from 8.7 to 10.5 mm.
