The SISKIN is the result of all of EDELRID's expertise and a considerable investment in time and development. For this featherweight rope, the Allgäu-based company designed and tested far more prototypes than for the development of a conventional climbing rope.

as it allows us to experiment and refine processes until the rope displays the characteristics we set as our goal,"

Its ultralight weight makes the SISKIN the perfect rope for the most demanding ascents,
where every gram counts. Even on long climbs, the rope is barely noticeable and
clipping is effortless.
Furthermore, the
robust sheath construction ensures excellent handling and relatively high abrasion resistance
for a diameter of 8.6 mm. The PFC- and PFA-free Eco Dry treatment gives this premium
rope lasting resistance to water and dirt.
Thanks to its triple certification as a single rope, half rope and twin rope, it is highly versatile and suited not only to sport climbing at the highest level, but also to alpine ascents or glacier climbing, where
it can be used as a single, half or twin rope depending on the situation.
The EDELRID SISKIN Eco Dry joins the rapidly growing range of the lightest products on the market right now, alongside the Loopo Air harness (46 g),
the Nineteen G standard carabiner (19 g), the Nineteen G quickdraw (46 g), the
Skimmer Eco Dry 7.1 mm half rope (36 g/m) and the Cable Kit Ultralight via ferrata lanyard (299 g).
