The NEW ISC APEX takes the performance characteristics of the original Rope Wrench and delivers additional features and increased practicality, all while benefiting from ISC's unmatched build quality.
The APEX is equipped with an adjustable cam, allowing the user to choose from several clearly identifiable friction settings, depending on the type and diameter of the rope. The spring cam can be adjusted in less than 5 seconds: simply press the spring button, open the side plate and pull the spring cam outward a short distance. Rotate the cam to select the new setting, release the cam and close the device! No tools required and no removable parts!
This brake is equipped with a side frame that opens easily to allow quick and easy mid-rope attachment, even when wearing gloves! The push-button opening side frame features a double locking system for added security, with an audible click to confirm closure.
The ISC APEX also allows the user to change ropes without having to modify the friction setting.
