Following the success of the sixteen loop hikes in the province of Luxembourg featured in a first guidebook (volume 1), the Luxembourg team set out to explore sixteen new routes that make up the content of this volume 2.
This guidebook offers 16 loop routes, most often away from heavily visited tourist sites.
Approximately 20 km long, these routes are partially waymarked, meticulously described and often adaptable thanks to shortcuts and extensions. From the Famenne to the Gaume, these hikes cross the province of Luxembourg, where each region has its own character and each route its own charm.
You will travel from path to path, from wide stony tracks to majestic tree-lined avenues. Very often you will encounter steep slopes and challenging climbs. But each of these ascents will be rewarded by a summit from which you can admire endless horizons.
Experienced hikers will find, in these original routes, plenty to fill enjoyable days out. Even less seasoned walkers, or those who wish to get started, will find, thanks to the many shortcut suggestions, opportunities to adapt their outing to their own aspirations.
Each of these walks was designed by a hiker, by one of the volunteers who maintain the waymarking of a GR® trail throughout the year, that is to say by someone who knows every last path in their region inside out.
