Despite the unjust disrepute suffered by this region, Hainaut can take pride in the sites and landscapes it offers its visitors. It is not without reason that this land is home to such a wealth of castles stretching from Belœil to Chimay, from Attre to Seneffe. Nor is it a coincidence that Émile Verhaeren, that great poet of nature, regularly stayed in a secluded corner of the Honnelles.
How many hikers have wandered the paths of this Haut-Pays when daffodils carpet the wooded banks of the Grande and Petite Honnelle?
