Silky has successfully developed a pull-cut saw with a narrow blade that allows precise pruning without sacrificing performance. This ingenious design makes the Tsurugi a perfectly balanced saw.
The combination of the curved blade with a pistol grip handle is ideal for sawing above the shoulder or below the knee. While your arm, handle and hand remain in their natural position, you can easily saw the top of a branch. In addition, you quickly notice when the end of the cut has been reached, allowing you to work more efficiently even in difficult conditions. With the narrow blade of this saw you work with precision in dense vegetation without damaging surrounding branches.
The powerful blade has great rigidity, sharp and aggressive teeth, and will leave behind a smooth and clean cut on the tree. The comfortable Genki revolver handle is not fixed by any bolts or screws. It simply consists of two rubber parts that perfectly mould around the steel handle. Very clever — no tools needed!
The aluminium scabbard is designed so that the saw does not fall out, yet can be easily removed with one hand. The scabbard is lightweight and can be used by both right-handed and left-handed users. Complete your Tsurugi with the available leg straps and you will always have the saw within reach.
Did you know that the Tsurugi takes its name from an ancient Japanese double-edged sword? Proof of its outstanding performance!
Main features
- The Tsurugi Curve is designed for pruning green wood and is available in three tooth pitches: 6.5 teeth, 7.5 teeth and 10 teeth per 30 mm. Blade lengths are: 210, 270, 330 and 375 mm. Do you prefer working with a straight blade? The Tsurugi Straight series will be your choice!
- All saws in the Tsurugi series are lightweight, feature an aluminium scabbard (for right- and left-handed users) with detachable straps. The scabbard has 4 rollers to protect it from tooth strikes. The lower part is perforated to allow moisture and dust to escape.
- High-strength steel alloy.
- Suitable for green wood.
- The blade must be kept clean to maintain its efficiency. Resin dissolves with olive oil, a natural way to care for the blade. More aggressive solvents would damage the handle.
- After use, store the saw fully dried and always kept in its scabbard away from moisture.
