- BIOGRAPHY :
- David Chambre is a lifelong passionate climber. After discovering climbing on the rocks of Fontainebleau, he embarked on major alpine routes on Mont Blanc (Pilier d'Angle, Pilier du Frêney, first free ascent of the Bonatti route on the Grand Capucin) while pursuing geography studies at the Sorbonne. He then became one of the first professional climbers during the 1980s, specializing in free climbing (numerous solos, opening of eighth-grade routes) as part of the Bande des Parisiens, while travelling the world. Since then, having settled in Provence to be closer to the cliffs, he shares his passion by writing short stories and historical articles in most mountaineering and climbing magazines.
- Claude Gardien is a high mountain guide in Haute-Savoie. He practises many mountain sports, but is also a photographer and filmmaker. He has notably directed several films on modern climbing. He is also editor-in-chief of Vertical magazine and the author of numerous mountaineering books.
