Nomic

Nomic, from the brand Petzl is a perfectly balanced ice axe equipped with counterweights, providing an exceptional swing. 

Its Pur'Ice blade allows effective placements in all types of ice. 

Its geometry and double grip offer several holding positions, as well as stable hand changes. 

The grip is comfortable, thanks to the ergonomics of the handle and the adjustable Griprest support wedge.

Fitted with a minimalist hammer, the head is protected and allows you to tap in a piton. 

Fully modular, the ice axe can be optimized according to the route.

• Anchoring efficiency regardless of ice type:
  - perfect geometry and balance of the ice axe providing an exceptional swing,
  - facilitated hooking, thanks to the curved shape under the head,
  - Pur'Ice blade, tapered at the tip (3 mm), offering excellent penetration in all types of ice, including the hardest ice. Serrated on the upper part, it allows stable support when the ice axe is reversed,
  - inertia and strike quality optimized, thanks to the Masselottes.
  
• Comfortable grip, adapted to technical ice climbing:
  - multiple grip modes and stable hand changes, thanks to the double handle (high and low),
  - offset lower handle to protect the hand from contact with the ice and provide more comfort when hanging,
  - overmolded bi-material upper handle providing an excellent grip, while insulating from the cold,
  - hydroformed shaft for optimal grip in the middle of the shaft.
  
• Complete modularity, thanks to the Alpen Adapt system:
  - fully modular head allowing the technicality of the ice axe to be adapted,
  - interchangeability of Ice, Pur'Ice, Dry and Pur'Dry blades to adapt to different climbing objectives (snow, ice or mixed),
  - interchangeable spike and hammer,
  - delivered with Mini hammer to protect the ice axe head and tap in pitons,
  - without accessories, the ice axe is lightened for dry tooling (only 500 g),
  - overmolded Griprest Nomic rest pad adjustable in three positions to adapt to all hand sizes, including with thick gloves. The lower part features a serrated stainless steel tip to improve support when the ice axe is used as a walking axe,
  - connection hole compatible with the V-Link anti-loss extendable leash.
