Neox, from the brand Petzl, is an assisted braking belay device for indoor and outdoor climbing.
Ideal for lead climbing, it features an integrated wheel providing extremely smooth rope feeding to quickly pay out slack to the climber.
Its ergonomic handle allows comfortable control during lowering. It is compatible with all single ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm.
You'll end up preferring belaying to climbing!
Main features
- Belay device with cam-assisted locking optimized for lead climbing:
- allows belaying for lead climbing and top-roping,
- optimized for lead climbing, thanks to the wheel integrated into the device allowing smooth rope gliding to pay out slack even more easily and quickly to the climber,
- belaying comfort, thanks to cam-assisted locking: during a fall or when the climber rests, the rope tightens, the wheel locks, then the cam pivots and pinches the rope to block it.
- Ease of use:
- simple rope installation, thanks to the markings engraved on the belay device,
- handling common to all Petzl belay devices, based on guiding the rope through the device and permanently keeping one hand on the brake side of the rope,
- cam-assisted locking offering great tolerance of the braking hand position, regardless of the angle between the climber's rope and the brake side rope,
- compatible with all single dynamic ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm and optimized for diameters between 8.9 and 10.5 mm.
- Descent control:
- comfortable grip and simple rope release, thanks to the ergonomic handle,
- handle ratio multiplied by 3 for better control of rope travel on smaller diameters and less effort on the handle for larger rope diameters.
- Eco-design: all plastic components, including the handle, are made from recycled polyamide.
