Meteor, by Petzl, is a helmet made for climbing and mountaineering enthusiasts! 

Light, compact and equipped with excellent ventilation, it accompanies you throughout the year on your ascents.

Its construction and wrap-around shape provide enhanced protection across the entire head.

Comfortable, it suits all climbers, thanks to its headband designed to accommodate long hair tied in a ponytail. 

Compatible with a headlamp, you can count on it for your night outings.

• Lightweight, compact and ventilated helmet:
  - only 235 g in size S/M and 245 g in size M/L,
  - In-Mold construction, with an EPS foam shell injected under a thin polycarbonate outer shell, promoting compactness on the head,
  - large ventilation holes providing excellent airflow.
  
• Easy to adjust and accessorize:
  - semi-rigid headband for easy adjustment, even with gloves,
  - OMEGA headband with a pronounced notch to facilitate the passage of long hair tied in a ponytail,
  - chin strap with a minimalist buckle featuring a locking cover to prevent accidental loosening,
  - two hooks at the front and an elastic at the back to attach a headlamp,
  - headband retractable inside the helmet for easy storage and transport.
  
• Enhanced protection for climbing and mountaineering:
  - design according to Petzl's TOP AND SIDE PROTECTION label,
  - full-coverage design for optimal head protection against lateral, front and rear impacts.
  
• Eco-design and repairability:
  - the helmet is made of 18% bio-based or recycled materials,
  - comfort foams and buckle available as spare parts, in order to extend the lifespan of the helmet.

NB: this helmet does not meet the requirements of the ski mountaineering helmet standard EN 18100:2024.
