After more than two decades of opening and completing boulder problems and intense activity, the central-western area of Spain, which includes the south-east of the province of Salamanca and the south-west of the province of Ávila, has become a reference for bouldering in Europe, offering a multitude of boulders with unique characteristics in an exceptional natural environment.
The central-west of the peninsula features numerous climbing areas for bouldering. The thirst for opening, discovering and climbing has led to the recording of more than 7,500 boulder problems, many of which, even unclimbed, rank among the hardest and most challenging in Spain.
For this topo, the areas of La Dehesa, Agua Dulce, El Puertecito (La Muela), Bloque del Travieso, Peña de la Cruz, Valdesangil, Vallejera, La Hoya and Becedas have been selected. Without taking anything away from the others, these are the most developed areas, containing the greatest number of problems and which can be said to be of the highest quality.
More than 1,800 boulder problems await you in these pages. All the information you need to decipher the mysteries of the granite and enjoy pure bouldering.
