Main features
- Belay device with assisted locking by cam and anti-panic handle, optimized for top-rope climbing:
- allows belaying for lead climbing and top-rope climbing,
- adapted for learning to lower the climber, thanks to its anti-panic handle: if the belayer pulls too hard on the handle, the anti-panic mechanism is triggered to stop the rope from running,
- optimized for learning to belay in top-rope mode: ASSIST + mode pre-activates the cam locking to facilitate taking in slack and limit the risk of rope running through the device in the event of accidental rope release,
- belaying comfort, thanks to cam-assisted locking: during a fall or when the climber is resting, the rope is held taut through the action of the braking hand; the cam pivots and pinches the rope to lock it.
- Ease of use:
- simple rope installation, thanks to the markings engraved on the belay device,
- gestures common to all Petzl belay devices, based on accompanying the rope through the device and keeping one hand permanently on the rope on the braking side,
- cam-assisted locking offering great tolerance of the braking hand position, regardless of the angle between the climber's rope and the braking side rope,
- compatible with all single dynamic ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm and optimized for diameters between 8.9 and 10.5 mm.

- comfortable grip and simple rope release, thanks to the ergonomic handle,

- handle ratio multiplied by 3 for better control of rope running on smaller diameters and less effort on the handle for larger rope diameters.
