GRIGRI is a belay device with assisted braking, designed to facilitate belaying maneuvers, both indoors and on the crag.
Both compact and lightweight, it is compatible with all single ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm in diameter.
Assisted braking improves belaying comfort during route work and when catching falls. The handle's mechanical advantage provides exceptional rappel control.

- common technique, based on guiding the rope through the device and keeping one hand permanently on the brake side of the rope,
- belaying comfort, thanks to assisted braking: when the climber falls, the device pivots on the carabiner, the rope tightens and the cam pinches the rope to brake it. The hand, holding the brake side of the rope, engages the cam, which is why it is essential to always hold the brake side of the rope,
- compatible with all single dynamic ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm and optimized for diameters between 8.9 and 10.5 mm,
- rope installation diagram engraved on the belay device (inside and outside),
- extremely high durability, for intensive use, thanks to the stainless steel reinforcement plate.

- comfortable grip and easy rope release, thanks to the ergonomic handle,
- very progressive control of rope feed providing smooth and comfortable lowering.
- Particularly suited for learning and instructors:
- anti-panic handle: if the belayer pulls too hard on the handle, the anti-panic function is triggered and stops the descent,
- choice of belaying mode, top rope or lead climbing, thanks to the selection button: top rope belaying mode makes it easier to take in slack and offers more comfortable belaying,
