Freino Z Triact-Lock

The FREINO Z carabiner features a lug that allows you to add or modulate braking during descent.

Simple to use, it is compatible with the I'D S, I'D L, I'D EVAC and RIG auto-locking descenders. Once reversed, it prevents the descender from being dropped during transfers from the gear carrier to the ventral attachment point or anchor.

FREINO Z is equipped with the TRIACT-LOCK automatic locking system.

• Braking control:
  • a pin allowing extra friction to be added in case of heavy load, for better descent control (two-person rescue situation), 
  • simple and versatile use. The rope can be quickly threaded or removed from the braking pin, with one hand. 
• Easier handling:
  • easy threading of the rope into the pin, without opening the carabiner, 
  • Keylock system to prevent any involuntary snagging of the carabiner, 
  • TRIACT-LOCK automatic locking system with triple-action release, 
  • compatible for use on a harness or at the anchor. 
• Once reversed, it allows the self-braking descenders I'D S, I'D L and I'D EVAC (1) or RIG (2) to be made captive during transfers from the gear loop to the ventral attachment point or to the anchor.
