Lighten your pack without sacrificing interior volume with the ultralight and semi-freestanding FreeLite 2, designed for people who want to make the most of their three-season adventures without being slowed down by their gear.
The interior: It has shed almost 226 grams (8 oz) compared to the previous version of the FreeLite. The floor remains rectangular (no narrowing at the feet like most other tents) with an interior height of 1 meter (39 in) (7.6 cm gained).
The fine mesh tent body ensures excellent ventilation. The waterproof bathtub-style floor protects against the elements. The two doors are not curved and allow you to get out in the middle of the night without disturbing the other person.
The new zippers are more robust and easy to use with one hand. Additionally, they end up in the same spot when closed: you always know where to place your hand to open the door, even in the dark.
New convenient pockets for electronic devices feature cord pass-throughs in the corners. The hanging storage spaces are perfect for headlamps, glasses, and other items you want to keep within reach.
The exterior: The semi-freestanding design allows for quick and easy setup. Super strong DAC NFL tent poles, DuraShield™ waterproof coating, and sealed seams protect against harsh weather. The cutaway rainfly helps save weight.
It features two large vestibules to store everything you don't want to keep inside. The vestibule doors allow easy passage, and are equipped with a StayDry™ gutter that prevents water from dripping on you and your gear.
In short: If you and your hiking companion (two-legged or four-legged) want to camp comfortably after covering miles with an ultralight pack, the semi-freestanding FreeLite 2 offers the volume and features you need with a weight you'll forget you're carrying.
