Regular detergents should not be used on down items as they can harm performance by leaving various chemical residues and reducing the garment's ability to insulate or repel water.
Fortunately, Grangers' Down Wash is exactly that: a wash that has been formulated to deeply clean items without damaging the delicate material inside.
Three drying balls, reusable (up to 1000 washes) and perfect for preventing clumping and ensuring that down items regain their loft. Previously, people used tennis balls, but these can actually cause colour to run onto the garment and crush the down.
We recommend these drying balls as they gently restore loft, meaning your down will return to peak performance.
Usage tips:
- Use a 25 ml cap per large item or two smaller items. Use half a cap if washing by hand.
- Pour the product directly into the detergent drawer of your washing machine.
- Wash on a full cycle at 30°C/86°F or according to the care label instructions.
- Once washed, the control is evenly distributed, add the drying balls and check periodically throughout the drying cycle.
- Once completely dry, you're ready to go!
