In life, change is the only constant and that is undoubtedly a good thing, because "change" also means "improvement".
CAMINO EVO GTX has retained its Vibram® outsole, and now features a cushioning midsole and new functional details. In addition, its asymmetric C4 tongue ensures optimal comfort.
Thanks to X-LACING® lacing technology combined with two-zone lacing and metal ball-bearing eyelets, it is also possible to adapt the fit to the shape of each foot.
To support the natural movement of the foot during walking, the shoe features a lace loop hook and a FLEXFIT® system, and its shape has been lightened in this area.
To allow the laces to pass and slide without friction through the eyelets of the CAMINO EVO GTX, the metal loops contain small ball bearings that minimise friction.
With moderate stiffness, it adapts to all weather conditions thanks to its robust nubuck and GORE-TEX waterproof membrane.
Guaranteed protection against the elements, even in heavy rain or snowfall: the CAMINO EVO GTX is equipped with a GORE-TEX membrane. This innovative technology makes the shoes waterproof and breathable.
The CAMINO EVO GTX is equipped with a Vibram® outsole. For many years, this Italian manufacturer has been one of the market leaders in high-quality outsoles.
The VIBRAM® APPTRAIL II outsole has a modern, self-cleaning profile. It proves its exceptional capabilities particularly when put to the test on challenging terrain.
When the upper of a shoe is flexible, the foot rolls more naturally during walking, allowing the user to save energy (especially when going uphill) and to benefit from increased comfort.
For the CAMINO EVO GTX, LOWA has therefore incorporated a flexible section and a "Lace Loop" fastening system in this flex zone. This technology includes mobile eyelets and a flexible lace loop hook to improve heel hold and facilitate foot flexion.
To ensure maximum flexibility, the eyelets of the CAMINO EVO GTX are attached to separate lacing sections. These sections are made from supple leather or textile materials whose smooth surface prevents friction zones.
Thanks to the mobile arrangement of the eyelets, it is also possible to adjust the lacing individually to avoid unnecessary pressure on specific points. In addition, the tongue is held securely in place.
The special tongue of the CAMINO EVO GTX significantly improves the comfort of the shoe. For example, the tongue is more padded on the outer side of the foot and features a soft tip at the top.
This asymmetric padding ensures effective support of the different areas of the foot. To respect the anatomy of the foot, the ankle recesses are positioned slightly higher on the inner side of the shoe than on the outer side.
A flexible fold has also been integrated on the inner side of the foot.
