Digital/analog detector equipped with 3 antennas.
The new Barryvox® S with its long reception range and effective search strip width of 70 meters offers the user a large, simple interface and intuitive operation.
In other words, it provides clear instructions thanks to the ultra-simple operating concept and enables fast and precise searches thanks to the Smart Search function.
To protect rescuers who are not involved in the search, mammut has integrated the Rescue SEND function into the Barryvox® S.
In the event of a second avalanche that buries a rescuer, SEND mode is triggered automatically and signals the burial position.
Furthermore, the Barryvox® S is equipped with the Smart Search function, which responds according to the rescuer's search actions.
Main features
- Effective search strip width in digital mode: 70 meters
- Reception range in digital mode: up to 70 meters
- Extended search range: extended reception range (analog mode): up to 95 m, extended search strip width (analog mode): 100 m
- Circular reception zone: nearly identical reception range from antenna X to antenna Y
- Lithium compatible: also works with lithium batteries: lower risk of leakage. More stable in extremely low temperatures. Longer battery life (350 hours in SEND mode)
- Display: perfectly readable screen, even with polarized lenses, thanks to backlighting
- Audio user guidance: allows the rescuer to visually inspect the avalanche site
- Wrong direction function that prevents heading in the opposite direction
- Group check with clear instructions
- Visual interface: overview of victims, with indication of distance, direction and number
- Design: ergonomic design, shock-resistant, manageable even with gloves
- Device tests: automatic test and functional test
- The Smart Search function responds based on the rescuer's search actions. This makes searching simpler and more reliable
- Multiple burial: signal analysis and separation in case of multiple burials
- Victims can be selected from the victim list, marked (MARK), then unmarked (UNMARK)
- Automatic switchover to transmit mode (Auto Revert): if a rescuer makes no movement for 4 minutes, the device assumes a secondary avalanche and switches to SEND mode (motion sensor)
- The SEND rescue function is a protection feature for rescuers not involved in the search: in the event of a second avalanche burying a rescuer, SEND mode is triggered automatically and signals the burial position
- Automatic guidance: in the event of signal failure or interference, the device continues to guide the rescuer toward the victims
- Vital signs: the 3D sensor allows the rescuer to focus resources on victims with the greatest chance of survival
- Advanced search settings: customizable search parameters: pro search; audio guidance and visual guidance; automatic switchover to transmit mode (Auto-Revert)
- Alternative search mode (analog mode) that allows the most complex search scenarios to be resolved
- Personalization: ability to customize the home screen and identification text (e.g., owner information)
- Harness: ultra-functional Barryvox carrying system included
- Wireless link: additional communication channel to optimize search performance
- Device management via wireless link
- Updatable software
- Operating temperature: -25 °C to +45 °C
- Batteries included
- Buried victim marking: mark|unmark
