Baraque de Fraiture - Lierneux - Erezée - Dochamps - Samrée 1/25 (2021)

Between the three tourist hubs of Durbuy, La Roche and Vielsalm, one discovers the deep Ardennes, heavily forested and full of typical villages.

All of these revolve around the Plateau des Tailles, whose summit is located at the Baraque de Fraiture, perched at an altitude of 652 m. This is the fifth highest peak in Belgium, after Botrange (694 m), the Weisser Stein (692 m), Mont Rigi (680 m) and the Baraque Michel (674 m).

Up there, one also discovers peat bogs, as in the High Fens, which the LIFE project is in the process of rehabilitating after they were invaded by spruce trees: La Fange aux Mochettes, the Fagne du Pouhon, the Fange de Sacrawé, the Grande Fagne de Bihain, the Fanges de Nazieufa and de Robièfa.
