It is characterized by its open landscape of orchards and bocage stretching westward from the Meuse Valley towards the Three Borders region (Belgium, Netherlands, Germany) to the east.
It is bounded to the south by the Vesdre Valley and to the north by the Fourons and the Dutch border. Moderately hilly, perhaps slightly more pronounced along its main watercourse running through it: the Berwinne, it offers great potential for peaceful, family-friendly walks through vast countryside.
