Asap

Asap, by Petzl, is an essential device in your fall protection system and accompanies you in your daily life as a worker at height. 

In normal use, during your movements on the rope, the device moves freely without having to be manipulated. 

In the event of a fall or uncontrolled descent (beyond two metres per second), the device locks onto the rope and stops you. 

Depending on your needs, choose an Asap'Sorber 20 or 40 energy absorber to be able to work comfortably at a greater or lesser distance from the rope.

• Mobile fall arrester on rope:
  - stops falls and uncontrolled descents where the speed exceeds two metres per second,
  - locks on the rope even if you grab the device during the fall,
  - works on vertical, horizontal or diagonal rope,
  - compatible with a wide range of ropes from 10 to 13 mm in diameter,
  - effective regardless of the condition of the rope (frozen rope, mud), thanks to its toothed wheel.
  
• Compact and easy to use:
  - easily installed and removed at any point on the rope,
  - moves along the rope, upwards and downwards, without any intervention.
  
• Used in combination with:
  - an Asap'Sorber 20 or 40 energy absorber for single-person use up to 140 kg,
  - an Asap'Sorber Axess energy absorber for use in a two-person rescue situation and up to 250 kg.
  
• Asap can be used as a primary belay device in a fall arrest system or as a back-up belay device in a rope access system.
  
• Asap is also available in pre-assembled kits for a ready-to-use solution, with an Asap'Sorber 20 or 40 or Asap'Sorber Axess energy absorber and OK Triact-Lock or Bm'D Triact-Lock connectors.
