This guide describes the Stubai route (or Hohen Weg) and the Stubai Glacier Tour, two hut-to-hut hiking itineraries in the Stubai Alps, in Austrian Tyrol.
The Stubai route is an ideal itinerary for novice mountain hikers. It connects eight huts without crossing any glaciers or difficult passes. The Stubai Glacier Tour is a hut-to-hut circuit through the best of the Stubai, crossing glaciers and offering numerous opportunities to summit easy peaks. Both itineraries can be completed in eight to ten days.
