Smart HMS 2.0 Screwgate Carabiner Screw Gate, by Mammut, is an HMS carabiner with a security mechanism preventing any accidental sideways loading. 

The new improved version of this popular safety carabiner impresses with its optimized design, increased breaking strength and reduced weight.

The screw lock can only be operated when the safety finger is open. 

Accidental opening and involuntary twisting of the carabiner in the belay loop of the climbing harness are thus impossible. This prevents any dangerous sideways loading.
