This small guide once again takes walking enthusiasts along both red and white waymarked trails as well as many other varied paths in the province of Liège. This time, the loops are noticeably shorter: averaging around twelve kilometres, often with shortcut options.
Given the relief of the Liège landscape, some loops feature significant gradients, which are indicated at the beginning of each route description. Intended as an introduction to hiking, and who knows... one day to long-distance walking, this guide is aimed particularly at young (pre)teenagers and their parents.
So that the word introduction takes on its full meaning, we have included "green" pages. These will help younger readers discover various aspects of the nature encountered during these outings through hills and valleys. Numerous photos of birds, mammals, flowers, plants... enhance each of the chapters.
Finally, each hike ends near a cultural or recreational point of interest, allowing families to discover the riches of Walloon cultural heritage or simply to unwind after their efforts.
