L'Ouest des Vosges GRP

In the western Vosges, the horizon softens, conifers give way to deciduous trees and the many waterways beautifully carve through this verdant landscape. This preserved nature, steeped in history, will delight hikers who set out to follow in the footsteps of Joan of Arc or to discover the many Gallo-Roman remains, such as the imposing amphitheatre of Grand.

It is also a region where man has known how to harness abundant natural resources such as wood, iron ore and water to develop expertise recognised throughout the world, particularly in the furniture-making trades.
