• Catherine Destivelle is a world-renowned French mountaineer and climber. A pioneer in her field, she has distinguished herself in both sport climbing and solo ascents in the Alps and the Himalayas. An iconic figure in mountaineering, she is today also a publisher and author.
  
• David Chambre has been a passionate climber all his life. After discovering climbing on the rocks of Fontainebleau, he embarked on major alpine routes on Mont Blanc (Pilier d'Angle, Pilier du Frêney, first free ascent of the Bonatti route on the Grand Capucin) while pursuing geography studies at the Sorbonne. He then became one of the first professional climbers during the 1980s, specializing in free climbing (numerous solos, opening of eighth-grade routes) as part of the Bande des Parisiens, while travelling the world. Since then, having settled in Provence to be closer to the cliffs, he shares his passion by writing short stories and historical articles in most mountaineering and climbing magazines.
