GR 57 - Sentiers de l'Ourthe

If the "Sentiers de l'Ourthe" have always been particularly popular and well-loved, it is because they take hikers through exceptionally beautiful landscapes and places rich in culture.

Across the Condroz, the Calestienne, and then the Ardennes, visitors will (re)discover impressive sites. La Roche aux Faucons and le Hérou are certainly the best known. There are many others, such as the Romanesque church of Xhignesse, the caves of Hotton, the Saint-Thibaut hermitage, the Celtic fortification of Cheslé, Durbuy "the smallest town in the world", the Nisramont dam, the beautiful village of Steinbach, the castle of Clervaux, the near-absolute tranquility of the route between Nisramont and Wyompont, the historically rich area of Sainte-Ode...
