While the previous version described the 215 kilometres between Malmedy and Sedan, the Sentiers de Grande Randonnée are innovating once again and now offer you a route of 276 kilometres, from north to south, a red and white ribbon connecting Germany starting from Monschau (Montjoie) and France at Sedan, crossing through our beautiful Wallonia via the provinces of Liège and Luxembourg.
As such, the GR14 constitutes a true crossing of the Ardennes, delving into its deep forests and running alongside enchanting rivers bearing the names Rur, Warche, Amblève, Lienne, Ourthe, Lesse, Our and Semois.
It visits typical villages and charming small towns such as Malmedy, Stavelot, Trois-Ponts, Lierneux, La Roche-en-Ardenne, Saint-Hubert and Bouillon. It thus traverses this wonderful land of holidays and… hiking!
On its own, or in connection with the GR trail network, which is particularly dense in the two provinces it crosses, and notably in tandem with the other "Sentiers de l'Ardenne", namely the GR15, which runs from south to north, from Arlon to Monschau (Montjoie), it will allow you to fulfil your desire for wonderful hikes.
