Chicane

The CHICANE additional brake allows the use of ZIGZAG and ZIGZAG PLUS mechanical Prusiks on single rope.

It provides permanent additional braking on descent. The excellent hold of the assembly, CHICANE and mechanical Prusik, ensures smooth rope sliding through the brake on ascent.

The ergonomic handle provides an excellent grip and facilitates movement during branch returns. Thanks to the opening side plate, installation is simple and quick.

• Enables single rope use of ZIGZAG and ZIGZAG PLUS mechanical Prusiks:
  - permanent additional braking during descent, thanks to the two friction axles adding friction,
  - used with an Am'D or OK carabiner (not included). The H-profile of the carabiner, combined with the mechanical Prusik's retaining sleeve, provide excellent retention of the assembly, CHICANE and mechanical Prusik, ensuring smooth rope sliding through the brake during ascent,
  - ergonomic handle facilitating movement during redirects. 
• Easy installation:
  - openable side plate allowing simple and quick installation on the rope,
  - triple-action unlocking to limit the risk of involuntary opening of the side plate,
  - connects to the upper hole of the mechanical Prusik. 
• Optimized durability, thanks to the two friction axles, available as spare parts. 
• CHICANE allows work in compliance with ANSI Z133 standard.
