This fourth edition of the only comprehensive guide to multi-pitch routes around Arco is the result of the deep passion of one of the key figures in climbing in the Valle del Sarca.
The main development is the remarkable expansion of the described area, which now extends from the shores
of Lake Garda to the Valle dei Laghi: 23 new sectors for a total of 260 previously unpublished routes, which added to the 520 routes already present in the last edition bring the total to 780, spread across approximately 33 sectors.
Due to such an abundance of lines, we decided to split the guide into two volumes, presenting in this first volume the part that currently features the most new routes: the area encompassing the lower section of the Valle del Sarca, the rock faces that persist across the Arco plain and Lake Garda.
Among the many highlights of this volume, you will find new routes on the Coste di Loppio near the San Giovanni pass, in the Val di Ledro and in the lesser-known valley of Volta di Nò, where interesting new routes are still being opened.
In the second volume, we will focus on the rock faces overlooking the valley near Sarche and Pietramurata, continuing towards the Valle dei Laghi, where new routes are still very much in development: the possibility of establishing routes on the rock faces of Fraveggio, as well as on the walls of the Limarò canyon, is far from exhausted.
As in the three previous editions, the guide is accompanied by precise drawings by the author, fully updated for the occasion, along with accurate historical and logistical notes and a comprehensive assessment of the beauty and difficulty of each route.
Finally, through short essays, it recounts the emotions and adventures experienced on the rock faces of the Sarca valley.
