1000 Series Beech, from the brand Beastmaker, is a fingerboard now available in FSC-certified beech grown in the EU. Reduced carbon footprint and higher quality hardwood.
The Beastmaker 1000 hangboard was ergonomically designed for the hands of those who are new to climbing and training, but who want to progress quickly. Over the years, it has rightfully become the most popular hangboard in the world, and its design has helped thousands of climbers improve their grip. This hangboard is suitable for climbers from 5A (V1) to 7C+ (V10) and beyond, for those looking to tackle one-arm hangs.
The beech, sourced from the EU, is of the highest possible quality and has the lowest carbon footprint we can achieve. The wood used comes from continuous cover forestry, a more environmentally friendly approach that does not deplete the canopy and the environment unlike clear-cutting. Through this process, combined with biomass kiln drying and a road transport network, beech is the lowest CO₂ hardwood we can reliably source. It is also one of the best wood species for crimping.
Beech is a slightly denser wood, with a darker color and a beautiful subtle grain that should be slightly more durable over a ten-year period.
The Beastmaker 1000 is made from very fine-textured wood that is very gentle on the skin, and its holds have been rounded to prevent pinching.
